Strategic Plan 2007-2010

Adopted in 2007, the Sunflower Foundation strategic plan addresses five key areas for the three-year period ending in 2010: governance, operations, finance, program and public positioning. The following information summarizes the intent, goals and vision for each strategic area:
 
Governance: The foundation is driven by its mission to be a catalyst and to ensuring that its decisions are aligned with its core values. Rigorous standards are in place to help assure transparency in all activities. The organization is committed to evaluating all aspects of its organization and to promoting a culture of continuous learning.

Operations: The foundation is committed to the highest standards of competency, efficiency and service in its internal and external functions.

Finance: The Sunflower Foundation, having been established for the public good, is committed to abiding by the highest standards of performance and ethical behavior. Board and staff members are careful to apply resources in the most efficient ways in order to sustain the foundation and support its mission.

Program: The Sunflower Foundation makes every effort to develop efficient, user-friendly grant processes, and to clearly define interest areas to the public through this Web site, other forms of media and grantee communications. The foundation values grantees as partners and endeavors to be responsive and respectful at all stages of the grant process and in all contacts. The goal is to provide as much information as possible to applicants and grantees about their applications, proposals and progress.

Public Positioning: The foundation makes every effort to form partnerships that create energy and momentum in the health care arena. The foundation is committed to supporting effective public policy and health advocacy that helps improve the health of Kansans.
