Carolyn Lukensmeyer, author and executive director of the National Institute for Civil Discourse, will lead a discussion about the importance of civil discourse in shaping public policies that improve the lives and wellbeing of all citizens. Among the topics:
- The Revive Civility & Respect initiative from the National Institute for Civil Discourse
- What Americans think about the level of public discourse among elected officials
- What you can do to help increase civility and improve your community's civic engagement
