Gage Park is one of our state capital’s oldest and largest public green spaces, with more than a million visitors each year. Until recently, it hasn’t had many trails to safely get people from one part to another, whether by foot, wheelchair, or bike. But that is changing.

Over the coming year, this multi-sector class of 15 nonprofit leaders from across Kansas will further improve their advocacy skills, with a special emphasis on civil discourse and finding common ground to address issues of public concern.

More than $1 million in grants awarded to Kansas nonprofits
August 8, 2017The Sunflower Foundation Board of Trustees has awarded a total of $1,085,117 in Capacity Building grants to 67 nonprofit organizations statewide. Capacity Building grants were open to nonprofit organizations providing health care and prevention services to low income, uninsured, and other vulnerable populations in Kansas.
